We worked with Ray on our second refinancing, and we fully agree with another reviewer who stated that once you work with Ray, you will never work with anyone else.  He brings the perfect combination of the most aggressive rates (my sense is at least 1/8% below other mortgage brokers) combined with responsive customer service and a commitment to following through on what he promises.  It said a lot about Ray's approach when he told us at the beginning of our process that he would rather take a loss on our loan than fail to follow through on his promises, and we trusted him implicitly to be watching out for our best interests.  When our loan did not close within 30 days due to circumstances outside of our control (the appraisal process took too long), Ray was proactive in extending our lock at his own expense, and also communicating clearly that he would take care of everything (which he did).  Ray was also deeply knowledgeable about the MBS market, and gave us sage advice on when to lock our loan and what lock risks were and were not worth taking.  And his communication was truly outstanding - it never took him more than a couple of hours to respond to our e-mails, and exchanging information via DropBox was seamless (which was especially important as we live in a different geographic region than Ray).  Ray far exceeded our expectations at every step of the way, and we consider him one of the most outstanding service professionals we have worked with.

I would like to refer a lender who specializes in tougher and more complicated loan scenarios for buyers who may look marginal on paper but can totally afford the property. Robert and I represented both the buyer and the seller on a property in Encino. This particular mortgage broker was totally professional, stayed focused and NEVER gave up.  Don't let the out of area phone number dissuade you from calling him. He is more on top of his game than many lenders in Los Angeles.
